Who We Are
Matthew 22: 37-40Matthew 22: 37-40 says:
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

In a nutshell, this scripture tells us who we are to be and how we are to act as followers of Jesus Christ. In other words, it says that above all things we are to Love God and to do it by Loving everyone around us.
As the youth ministry of FBC Waycross, GA, this is the goal we are striving for! It is to provide young people with opportunities to come to faith in Jesus Christ, grow deeper in their faith and knowledge of God, and to give those things life by using them to Love and serve those around us. |

john Wheeler - Minister to StudentsMy name is John Wheeler and I'm the Minister to Students. I've been here so long I think I can actually remember when Moses was in the youth group.... That's actually a great thing because over the years God has given me a deep sense of love for our wonderful congregation. My heart's desire is to allow God to use me to serve our young people and their families. My favorite verse in scripture is Matthew 22:37f. It reminds us that God calls us to honor Him by putting feet to our faith and loving everyone around us looking for ways to serve them and lead them into a relationship with Christ.
